The upcoming Data2Move event addresses the charter Data-Driven Last-Mile Logistics. The event is co-hosted by Den Hartogh who is celebrating their 100th anniversary this year.
At this event you will learn more Den Hartogh logistics activities. Together, we will brush up our knowledge and collaboration skills when we examine a real business case offered by Den Hartogh. The case invites you to explore answers to the question: How can we make the Den Hartogh cluster service the sustainable solution for the first and last mile in the chemical cluster of Rotterdam? Sustainability is defined by People, Planet and Profit. Hence, a sustainable solution includes a good balance between these three pillars. But you also have to consider the following six conditions: safety, a competitive market, driver’s shortage, supply chain visibility, port congestion, and minimizing your carbon footprint. Not an easy task, and we are very curious what answers the Community comes up with.
Because the student research projects play an important role within the Data2Move community, we also have time reserved to give you the opportunity to learn more about the ongoing Data2Move research projects. Some of our most excellent students will share their experience with you. Finally, we will end our meeting with an exciting brainstorm session. We hope this will help us to initiate new creative projects and collaborations between students and one (or more!) Data2Move partners.
